Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Anti-Wrinkle injections are used to treat facial wrinkles and lines, which are caused by repeated facial muscle contraction during expressions. As we age over time, these lines become deeper and more prominent.  Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin made by a bacterium called bacteria clostridium. When injected into the muscle, the botulinum toxin works by temporarily causing muscle paralysis. This prevents muscle contraction, thereby softening/eradicating the lines.

If the lines are already static at rest, they can be softened, but they won't disappear completely. It is therefore important to note that this treatment is best done preventatively before the lines have formed.
